The Royal Drum Corps.

The Royal Drum Corps was founded by Chris Barlow and Joseph Earp with the intention of creating new traditions to go with the old at Queens University of Charlotte. The group first debuted in the fall of 2003, at the annual Midnight Madness event for the Royals basketball teams.
At the halfway point of our first season, we received funding from the Student Government Association at Queens University of Charlotte which was used for the purchasing of drums and equipment. Not too long after the purchase of drums, we had another lucky break. After talking with Lucy McCarl, Vice President of the Lenoir High School Band Foundation, we also received a donation of band uniforms from the former Lenoir High School Band.
The Royal Drum Corps has become a stable organization in a short period of time. We hope to do even more with the group by expanding in numbers and becoming more involved in our surrounding community.
